WHAT IS CHORALVIA?
A place where music leads somewhere.
ChoralVia is a project-based choral community built around a simple idea: singing can do more than create beautiful music. It can bring people together, deepen our understanding, and open the door to experiences we might never have on our own.
Throughout the year, ChoralVia creates opportunities to perform, learn, collaborate, and connect. Each season culminates in an international choral journey that brings singers into direct contact with new places, cultures, audiences, and one another.
You do not have to belong to one particular choir to belong here. Some people will come to ChoralVia through a performance project. Others through coaching, workshops, conversations, or travel. Many will move between them.
However you enter, the goal is the same: meaningful music-making, shared generously.

Music has always been about more than the performance.
For me, the most meaningful musical experiences have never ended with the final chord. They continue in the conversations afterward, in the relationships formed through rehearsal, in the places music takes us, and in the ways we grow when we encounter something beyond what is familiar.
ChoralVia grew from that belief.
I wanted to create a place where singers could come together for excellent music-making without having to belong to one permanent ensemble; where learning remains part of the artistic process; and where travel is not simply sightseeing, but an opportunity to connect repertoire, people, history, and place.
Some will come to ChoralVia to sing. Some to learn. Some to travel. I hope many will eventually do all three.
What matters most is that every project creates something worth remembering—not only for the people listening, but for the people making the music together.

2027: Peace Has Many Voices
March 9–19, 2027
In March 2027, ChoralVia will bring singers together for an eleven-day journey through Stockholm, Tallinn, Riga, and Vilnius—combining performance, cultural discovery, and the experience of making music in places with deep choral traditions.
The program, Peace Has Many Voices, explores themes of hope, compassion, responsibility, and human connection through music by Mendelssohn, Vasks, Gjeilo, Nicholas Ryan Kelly, and Gwyneth Walker.
This is not simply a concert tour. It is a shared musical experience shaped by the places we visit, the people we meet, and the repertoire we carry with us.
